- Introduction
- There are so many designers that are working in a wide spectrum of fields in Seoul.
When including those aspiring to become designers and those non-designers engaged in the design industry, the number of designers in a broad sense goes up.
The Seoul Designers’ Dream project was designed with the latter in mind. It highlights not the celebrity designers appearing on TV shows or design magazines, but the numerous anonymous designers faithful to their roles in daily life.
How do they see design?
What is design they love?
What are they concerned about, and dreaming for?
This project seeks answers to those questions with their real voices.
- Target Participants
- Designers, Design students, Public employees in central and local administrations, People engaged in the design industry.
- How to Join
- All you have to do is to answer the questionnaires in the ‘Seoul Designers’ Dream’ section at the SDO website. There is no additional application form or fee.
- Deadline Date for Application
- August 31, 2009
※ Due to the number limit, registration may be closed early.
- Benefits
1.A short list of 300 applicants will be selected so that part or all of their answers will be published in a book to be sold in book stores.- ※ The list of successful applicants will be announced at the website.
※ When submitting your completed questionnaires, you are considered to agree to release your answers.
2.From among those returning the completed questionnaires, a selective group of applicants whose answers are deemed in keeping with the purpose of the project will be interviewed. The interviews conducted will be edited to a film that will be showed at the Seoul Designers’ Dream’ exhibition venue.- ※ The interview will be conducted with 100 successful applicants, and the interviewees will be notified individually.
※ The interview will be performed, using the structured questionnaire format.
3.From among those returning the completed questionnaires, a selective group of applicants whose answers are deemed in keeping with the purpose of the project will be given a chance to exhibit their representative works at the ‘Seoul Designers’ Dream’ exhibition. -

※ Each exhibitor shall bring in his/her exhibits to the exhibition site on the date specified.
※ Exhibitors may present and display their exhibits within their space assigned in a free way.
※ Space assignment and the exhibits move-out schedule will be notified individually later.
